Dogtober Fest!

Hey puppers....how has your week been? Hope it was filled with lots of treats.

Today mama is making the final tweaks to our costumes for Dogtoberfest!!! Its something we have every year and there are Weenie dog races, treats, lots of people that sell dog stuff, and treats and lots of puppers come out with their foster families hoping to find forever homes. All the money raised by a the race they have goes to helping rescue more puppers from jail and get them spruced up and ready for new mama's and daddy's!

The funnest part is we get to wear costumes!
This year mama is making them and boy o boy they look swell!

She got the idea from other puppers we love to follow named Sebastian and Winston over at Sew Doggy Style. We loved the idea, we thought to ourselves we could be super heroes and mamma went straight to work on our costumes. The only things she did was use old scraps instead of felt/fleece, take in a big people collar to where it would fit on our tiny necks, sew it and then cut off the extra material, different was add super hero symbols that she Google searched and  printed out for templates.

We're not going to reveal our super hero identities just yet, but we will show you the end result with our cousin Lulabee's cape!

Neato huh puppers?! And this isn't even all of the costume, there's still the crown, the cuffs and her lasso! We can't wait to show you our Super Hero identities...stay tuned pups!

Vacation...

Sorry pups we had no idea we were going to go on vacation so soon. And by vacation we mean lay around the house and relax all day not doing anything that includes our blog! But we're back and ready for business pups!

See, we've even got ties and everything!

Truthfully pups, we've been laying low trying to be cute and adorable as ever so's mama forgets we have to go to see he who shall not be named and by that we don't mean Voldemort.This he who shall not be named weighs us, feels our bellies, looks in our ears and then does the most horrendous thing...he gives us POKEY'S!!! We can't be sure...but we think our plan is working so far. 

Dierks: "Any woof on to less terrifying things...one of my favorite holiday's is coming up pups...HALLOWEEN!!"

Oliver:"Whats Halloween precious?"

Dierks: "Ollie stop calling me precious is weird and Halloween is when mama gives us spooky treats and little hoomans come to the door and ask for treats and she gives them some too. And sometimes, if there's an little TINY hooman, we can sneak some of their treats out of their bag when they're not looking...or they just share with you!"

Oliver: "Yay!"

Dierks: "There is a catch Ollie, sometimes...mama dresses us up...so be prepared."

Oliver: *Gasp!* "My least favorite thing..."

Any guesses as to what we might be pups? Do you like dressing up for Halloween or no??

Happy Monday!

Morning Pups!

Its chilly here in Central Texas and we didn't do much this weekend on account of it. We slept, and mama made us put on these sweaters and they were warm but itchy.

Dierks: "Oliver looked like Dobby from Harry Potter!"

Oliver: "Oh yeah, well Dierks' sweater was so ugly he'd win 'Ugliest Sweater' at an ugly sweater party!"

Anywoof, we did our favorite thing this weekend...SLEEP! We slept in our beds, we slept in mama's bed, we slept on the couch, on the ottoman, on the bathroom on the rug...we tell ya pups...its the life!

Hope you had a restful weekend too! Now we're off to do some more sleeping! Shhhhh...

Sorry we haven't been on a super lot pups. Mama keeps giving us the "I have to go to work" excuse. 

Our post today is about our experience at

DUM DUH DUH UM...

UNLEASHED BY PETCO!

 **Note, this is not the actual store we went too and also where were all these people to greet us when we got there...

This is a new store in our area and Mama and Colton took us for the first time yesterday! They have food and treats and beds and treats and toys and treats and clothes and TREATS! We surveyed the area making sure to leave no isle unsniffed! We started on our Hanukkah lists too! 

Dierks: They also have training classes that we may have to put Oliver in on account of he likes to run and hide under the bed so he doesn't have to do stuffs. 

Oliver: I won't go without a fight. Pbbtthh...

Dierks: "Any woof, back to the blog...I'll save y'all the grief now pups..they don't except payments in bone...I know I know...how rude."

Oliver: "You would'a thought with all the costumes mama made you put on she'd a bought it for you, I was not ABOUT to get into those silly costumes."

Dierks: " Only cause Colton was there, you just wait till we're at the store without him, mama's gonna make you put them on too...its inevitable Ollie...just wait."

We agree the only thing that we didn't like is the "Doom Room" aka as the Self Wash. Colton liked this room because he says that we're "schtinky" but its not true pups, we're not schtinky, we're not! 

Alas before we left we saw mama looking at a paper for the prices on the "Doom Room" and we fear the worst pups...we fear the worst.

** Note: We fear these pups were brainwashed because they look super happy to be in there...there may be more to this store that meets the eye.

Wordless Wednesday...

Toofers!

The meaning behind the name...

So we've been trying to find a name that catches our spunky Yorkie attitudes.

Dierks: "Oliver thinks it should be called 'Dapper Dogs' and focus on classy dogs and classical music and top hats and tea and crumpets. Which is silly because most NORMAL dogs don't like classical music...and by normal I mean every dog BUT Oliver."

Oliver: "Well Dierks thinks it should be called 'The Dierks Blog" and that it should on his favorite person...HIM. It would be basically like 'Cops' but with dogs getting time out...well one particular dog anyway."

Dierks: " Well its better than dogs and classical music!"
Oliver: "ANYWAY...you can see the dilemma we were having."
Dierks: "Well, mama and Colton get mad when we maybe once or twice sneak food from the trash..."
Oliver: "or floor..."
Dierks: "or plate..."
Oliver: "remember that one time I tried to sneak the tortillas out of the refrigerator?"
Dierks: "yup, Colton was so mad but mama was laughing"

For all the reasons above, mama calls us her little "Crumb snatchers" because we also clean up any mess they make on the kitchen floor.
So we thought, Crumb snatchers...its catchy and different, and really, if you think about it, every pup is a crumb snatcher...so we decided to name our blog the "Crumb Snatcher Diaries."
Anyway, there you have it, the story behind the blog name.

Dierks: "All this talk about crumbs has made me hungry..."
Oliver: "Me too!"

Well we're off to see what food we can find and sneak!

Weekend Adventure

Morning pups!

With all the introductions yesterday we forgot to tell you about our exciting weekend! 

Well it rained...and rained...and rained. But we got one good day out of it so mama took us to the dog park! 

DOG PARK DOG PARK WE LOVE THE DOG PARK!

Dierks: "We got to see other hoomans..."

Oliver: "And mud"

Dierks: "And got petted..."

Oliver: "And mud"

Dierks: "And we saw other puppies..."

Oliver: "And almost got EATEN"

Dierks: "Don't exaggerate Oliver, and we even saw our favorite things...SQUIRRELS!"

Oliver: "AND MUD."

Dierks: "Don't mind Ollie, he's just mad because we went to an off leash dog park and mama wouldn't let him off the leash on account of he pretends he can't hear her over the cricket chirps when she calls him to come back."

Oliver: "Well I've already explained to mommy my schnoz is better at smelling things than my ears are at hearing so she would have better luck at calling me back if she had bacon in her pocket."

Dierks: "Well that's hard to believe considering you have satellite dishes for ears...and anyway we can't have bacon, its not Kosher."

Oliver: "They are not dishes and I'm not picky about my treats...any treat will do."

Anyway, Mom snapped a few pictures of us, but this is our favorite, it really catches our Yorkshire essence...ya know?

Jumping Poodles It's finally happening pups...

Mom got us our own blog!!!!!!

As promised we'll get you caught up to speed on who we are and why we begged our mom to let us do a blog.

My name is Dierks Bentley, I also like to be called Dierkins, Little D, D-money, Señor Bentley, and Handsome. Mommy tells me she named me after a country singer, I've heard some of his music, I'm not really a country pup so much as a rocker pup but his stuff is ok.
I am 5 hooman years, I am a multi-lingual pup with alot of sass, I think I get it from my mom...grandma says shes a pepper. Whenever I meet new dogs big or small, (Oliver: Mainly small) I like to let them know who's the boss applesauce and hope they don't disagree with me.
I love to give smooches and cuddles and if Oliver starts to hog all the attention which he has a tendency to do, I'm not afraid to turn on the charm. I like squeeky toys, and balls, and treats and anything mom throws and tells me to catch.

My name is Oliver or Ollie for short. My mommy rescued me from going to the pound not too long ago and so far I love living with her...and Dierks...sometimes. I am 2 hooman years and I am quite the opposite of my big brother. I'm easy going, I'm not sassy, mommy calls me her sophisticated boy. I like to snuggle up on the couch, or floor, or a lap and just relax. I am picky about when, where and to whom I give my smooches too. You see, in my past, I haven't always lived the good life. I had a mommy and daddy who didn't always take care of me the way they should have. I was more scared of them but I loved them all the same. I was sad for a long time, but when my new mommy brought me home, I didn't know what to expect but I had a feeling my life was gonna be all kinds of fun and guess what pups...I was right! Aside from my bossy pants brother, I live a full productive life of resting on the couch, on the floor, on the bed, on the ottoman, under the bed, in my bed and in the laundry hamper.

So we follow a few pups and love that they get to share their exciting adventures online with all of us other puppers and make new friends and we thought hey, we want some new friends, we want our little barks to be heard...mom lets start a blog!

Dierks: "Plus, we love to take pictures!"
Oliver: "Speak for yourself, I hate having to look at the blinking light."

Anyway, we begged and begged and begged mom to help us start a blog and finally our persistence paid off.
